(341-41) 9-64-22.

Types of the calcium produced

Calcium distilled in the form of ingots having dendrite structure

There is a technological cavern at the face of the ingot. Weight of ingot shall be not more than 80 kg.

The dimensions of the ingot shall correspond to the following sizes:

  • diameter, not more than 360 mm;
  • length, not more than 900 mm.

Calcium distilled in the form of lumps, turnings, crumbs and granules

Parameters of the product kinds

  • lumps of optional shape, weighing not more than 15 kg;
  • lumps of optional shape, not more than 250 mm in size;
  • turnings:
    • length, not more than 150 mm,
    • width, not more than 16 mm,
    • thickness, not more than 5 mm.
  • Pieces of not more than 50 mm in size are permitted.
  • crumbs in the form of fragments of the piece having the irregular shape, or plates not more than 10 mm in size;
  • granules:
    • of spherical shape with passivated surface and of irregular shape as well, which are screened through a sieve with the cell 2.0, 3.0 mm (upon agreement with the consumer).
  • briquettes:
    • of cylindrical shape not more than 200 mm in diameter, not more than 115 mm in height, not more than 4 kg in weght.

Packaging and marking

Ingots, turnings, lumps, crumbs, granules, and briquettes are packed into sealed metal drums or barrels with opening top cover. Package has international certificate. Drums and barrels are installed into the transport pallets: 9 drums, or 4 barrels per each pallet. Gross weight of the pallet shall be not more than 1000 kg. Transportation marking is performed as per GOST 14192 and GOST 19433 with the application of the classification code of the dangerous cargo 4.3.

Transportation

Calcium refers to dangerous cargo. Classification code of the calcium is 4312. Serial number of UN is 1401. Calcium is transported by all kinds of transport in covered vehicles in conformity with the international rules of transportation of dangerous goods. It is stored in the packed form in fire-resistant one-storeyed premises.

Calcium-based alloys

Alloys of calcium with magnesium, aluminum and other light metals are produced upon agreement with consumer.

Calcium-based alloys are manufactured in the form of ingots:

  • not more than 350 mm in diameter, and not more than 80 kg in weight;
  • having a cross-section in the form of sector, rectangle, etc. as agreed with the customer.

Length of the ingots shall be not more than 800 mm. Irregularities, chips, cracks, technological voids, and holes in the locations of sampling are permitted on the surface of ingots. Lumps of optional shape shall be not more than 40 kg in weight. Granules of spherical or irregular shape shall be not more than 3 mm in size.

Magnesium-calcium alloy

Packaging and marking

Magnesium-calcium alloy refers to dangerous cargo. Classification code is 9.2. Magnesium-calcium alloy ingots are packed in a polyethylene film and placed into a wooden box or pallet. Gross weight of the pallet with the alloy shall be not more than 1,000 kg. Net mass of ingots in a wooden box shall be 500 kg.

Calcium-aluminium alloy

Packaging and marking

Calcium-aluminium alloy refers to dangerous cargo. Classification code is 4312. Serial number of UN is 1401. Calcium-aluminium alloy ingots are packed into sealed metal drums. Package has international certificate. The net mass of ingots of calcium-aluminium alloy in the drum shall be not more than 80 kg. Drums are installed into the transport pallet: 9 drums per each pallet. Gross weight of the pallet shall be not more than 1,000 kg. Transportation marking is performed as per GOST 14192-77 and GOST 19433-88 with the application of the classification code of the dangerous cargo 4.3.

Transportation of the calcium-based alloys

Calcium-based alloys are transported by all kinds of transport in covered vehicles in conformity with the international rules of transportation of dangerous goods. It is stored in the packed form in fire-resistant one-storeyed premises.

Notice:

It is possible to manufacture calcium products with different parameters in exterior, weight and chemical composition upon the agreement with consumer.
