In the field of radiation safety (RS)

Provision of radiation safety at the Plant.

Organization of the monitoring of:

• radiation safety status in the Plant subdivisions;
• condition of air on the border of the sanitary-protection zone and on the territory of the site;
• active materials emissions by industrial fans;
• radioactive wastes disposal.

Establishing of reference levels of radiation parameters and their registration, participation in commissions for investigation of the cases of exceeding of the reference levels.

Participation in development of measures for introduction of the federal, department and object scientific-systematic documents for provision of radiation safety. Organization and development of the local Normative Legal Statements (NLS) to provide RS.

Organization and execution of dosimetry control of the Plant employees and exterior organizations, registration and keeping of the control results. Evaluation of radiation risks and management of these risks.

Participation in organization of the Plant employees training and examination of RS knowledge as members of certification commissions and commission that defines working conditions and grants the appropriate compensations.

Popularization of the knowledge and the Plant policy in the field of radiation safety among the Plant employees and the town citizens.

Organization of activity of laboratory of instrumentation methods of radiation control of Radiation Safety and Environmental Protection Service (RS&EPS) according to requirements of Labor Safety Certification System (LSCS).

Conducting of laboratory research (test) according to the field of accreditation of:

• condition of air on the border of the sanitary-protection zone and on the territory of the site;
• active materials emissions by industrial fans;
• radiation, chemical and physical factors at working places according to the programme of the in-plat inspection;
• radiation control of raw-material, materials products and wastes according to manufacturing and sanitation services requirements;
• percentage of hazardous substances in the air.
