Packing and marking
Ingots, turnings, lumps, grains, granules and briquettes are packed in sealed metal drums or barrels with opening top lid.
Packing has international certificate.
Drums and barrels are placed in pallets: drums – 9 in one pallet, barrels – 4 in one pallet. Pallet gross weight is no more than 1000 kg.
Transport marking is done according to GOST (State standard) 14192 and GOST 19433 and contains classification code of dangerous goods 4.3.
Transporting
Calcium is treated as dangerous goods. Calcium classification code is 4312. UN serial number is 1401.
Calcium is transported in any mode of transport in covered transport facilities which correspond to international rules of transporting of dangerous goods. Calcium is stored in packed form in fire-proof one-storied locked premises.
Calcium base alloys
ChMP produces the alloys of calcium with magnesium, aluminum and other light metals under an agreement with a customer.
Calcium base alloys are produced in the form of ingots:
-
The diameter is no more than 350 mm, the weight is no more than 80 kg;
-
The cross section of an ingot may have triangular, rectangular or other shape under an agreement with a customer.
Ingot length is no more than 800 mm.
Ingot surface may contain irregularities, chips, cracks, production blisters and holes in the places of sampling.
The weight of the lumps with arbitrary shape shall not exceed 40 kg.
Granules with spherical or awkward shape must have the size no more than 3 mm.
Magnesium-calcium alloy
Packing and marking
Magnesium-calcium alloy is treated as dangerous goods. Classification code is 9.2.
Magnesium-calcium alloy ingots are packed in polyethylene jacket and put into wooden box or in a pallet. Gross weight of a pallet with an alloy is no more than 1000 kg. Ingot net weight in a wooden box shall be 500 kg.
Calcium-aluminum alloy
Packing and marking
Calcium-aluminum alloy is treated as dangerous goods. Classification code is 4312. UN serial number is 1401.
Calcium-aluminum alloy ingots are packed in sealed metal drums. Packing has international certificate.
Net weight of calcium-aluminum alloy ingots in a drum shall be no more than 80 kg.
Drums are placed in a pallet. Each pallet contains 9 drums. Gross weight of a pallet with an alloy is no more than 1000 kg.
Transport marking is done according to GOST (State standard) 14192-77 and GOST 19433-88 and contains classification code of dangerous goods 4.3.
Transportation of calcium base alloys
Calcium base alloys are transported in any mode of transport in covered transport facilities which correspond to international rules of transporting of dangerous goods.
Calcium base alloys are stored in packed form in fire-proof one-storied locked premises.
NOTE: under an agreement with consumer it is possible to produce calcium products with other features, regarding appearance, weight and chemical composition. |
