Nowadays Chepetsky Mechanical Plant ranks one of the key positions in Russia in technological cycle of manufacturing of nuclear fuel on the base of natural uranium. The Plant uranium production is equipped with unique production equipment and modern means of inspection of technological and performance characteristics of the products.

The Plant produces natural uranium in the form of ingots, metal powder, and uranium oxide and uranium tetra fluoride. This is the advanced technology products having the quality which meets the most strict requirements of nuclear power engineering.

In addition to processing of Russian and imported uranium raw material for nuclear industry demands the Plant produces various articles of natural and depleted uranium for different branches of the national industry.

Depleted uranium is used for gamma-radiation protection. It is used in therapeutic devices for radiation of tumors and also in gamma-flaw detectors designed for inspection of weld seals or used in ship-building. Application of metal depleted uranium is stipulated by its high specific weight and ability to entrap ionizing emission. Under the customer request the Plant can produce depleted uranium ingots, bars, plates, discs and irregular shaped products.

High consumer properties of all uranium products are guaranteed by the Quality Management System acting at the Plant.
