		JSC Chepetsky Mechanical Plant, which is the part of RF nuclear-power complex (Join-Stock Company "TVEL"), is the biggest producer of zirconium alloy products, natural and depleted uranium, calcium metal and its compounds in Russia. The name of the enterprise is connected with the name of the river (Cheptsa).The enterprise is situated in Glazov town, Udmurt Republic. Today Glazov is the modern town with the population more than 100 thousand people, in which the original architecture of modern apartments is well combined with old houses.

		The unique technology of production of binary and multycomponent zirconium alloys and its products, used not only for atomic power application but also in chemical, gas-oil, medical and food industries was developed during 50 years of plant existence. The latest achievements in treatment and welding of zirconium alloys, materials protection from corrosion, stabilisation of their structure and mechanical properties are the basis of the technological processes.

		Having the powerful scientific and industry base, the enterprise brings a new production of rare earths, niobium and ceramics from zirconium dioxide to a commercial level together with the development of the existing production.
